5% rule

A rule part of Sensorica's governance which says that if an individual or a venture generates revenue while using the network's infrastructure or by capturing an opportunity from within the network, with the help of other affiliates, 5% of revenue must be transferred to the Custodian for infrastructure development and maintenance.

The main reasons for rule are:

• avoid crowding the network with agents that are just waiting for the next opportunity without doing much else
• enforce reciprocation, which is inherent to the collaborative culture
• generate resources to sustain the infrastructure and increase the capacity of the network
