Credential
Credentials are related to Agents, connects to the Role system, Reputation system and to history of contributions to provide access to Processes, according to the Process type.
Since the OVN model is decentralized, access to Processes must be permissionless and mediated by a Credential system. Credentials are distributed to Agents based on Benefit Redistribution Algorithms, as a form of benefit. Credentials are distributed based on past contributions in given Roles, based on Reputation scores, automatically.
Implementations
Web2 NRP-CAS
Credentials were attributed to Sensorica affiliates informally. They were implemented as entries associated with relations between Agents and Resources. For example, an agent could be assigned Technical assistant (a gate keeper, trainer and skills validator) for an equipment (say a 3D printer), and the governance associated with this resource, which was implemented as a free text field (non computable), could state that access to this resource could only be granted to a new affiliate after validation of proper skills for a safe and secure use of the equipment by the Technical assistant. Also, the system was recording economic events and could "remember" if an affiliate had interacted in the past with a particular resource.
NDO
The NDO implements Private participation receipt (PPR), which are stored in private chains and constitute the history of interactions of an agent with resources and other agents. Credentials and reputation can be distilled from PPR.
